Get in touch with the Budget Planner HQ team for questions, feedback, corrections, or partnership inquiries.
We read every message. Whether you spotted an error in an article, have a feature idea for a calculator, or want to discuss editorial partnerships, we would like to hear from you. Use the routing below so your note reaches the right workflow faster.
Budget Planner HQ is a small editorial team. Clear subject lines and links to the page you mean help us fix factual issues quickly and improve guides where readers get stuck. We cannot provide personalized financial, tax, or legal advice by email.
Before you email
- Check the guide for your tool first. Worked examples, edge cases, and quick answers cover many common questions.
- For calculator bugs, note the tool name, what you entered, and what you expected vs. what you saw.
- For article corrections, include the URL and a primary source if you have one (tax authority, consumer finance regulators, lender disclosure, etc.).
- Redact account numbers and full national ID numbers. We do not need them to review a tool or article.
How to route your message
Put the category in your subject line when you can. It helps us prioritize and respond with the right context.
Corrections
Subject: Correction. Include the page URL, what is wrong, and a source if you have one (tax authority page, lender doc, etc.). We aim to fix factual errors quickly.
Tool feedback
Subject: Tool feedback. Name the calculator, what you entered, what you expected, and what you saw. Screenshots help but are optional.
Guide suggestions
Subject: Guide idea. Tell us which tool needs a clearer example, edge case, or FAQ. We expand guides when readers spot gaps.
Privacy requests
Subject: Privacy. Describe your request and reference our Privacy Policy. Note: calculators do not store your inputs on our servers by default.
Partnerships and press
Subject: Partnership or Press. Brief description, audience, and timeline. We do not accept paid placement that compromises editorial independence.
Accessibility
Subject: Accessibility. Page URL and what blocked your use (keyboard, screen reader, contrast, etc.). We treat these reports seriously.
What to include (all messages)
- Corrections: URL of the article or tool and what should be updated
- Tool feedback: Which calculator and what behavior you expected
- Privacy requests: See our Privacy Policy
Example subject lines
- Correction: Debt Payoff Planner guide (URL + what to fix + source)
- Tool feedback: Retirement Calculator (inputs + unexpected result)
- Guide idea: Rent vs Buy (missing edge case or FAQ)
- Privacy: analytics question (reference Privacy Policy section)
- Accessibility: Budget Planner keyboard trap (page URL + what blocked you)
- Partnership: nonprofit financial literacy (audience + non-paid scope)
What happens after you send
- We triage by subject line. Corrections and broken tools jump the queue when we can reproduce the issue.
- We may reply with a clarifying question if inputs or a URL are missing.
- Confirmed factual fixes go into the article or calculator and the guide updated date may change.
- Feature requests are logged. We cannot commit to timelines, but reader-suggested guide gaps often shape our editorial backlog.
Response times
We typically respond within 2-3 business days. Factual corrections and broken calculator reports are prioritized when we can confirm the issue. Partnership and press inquiries may take longer depending on volume.
If you reported a calculator bug, include your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) and whether you were on mobile or desktop. That detail speeds up reproduction.
What we cannot do by email
- Personalized financial, tax, or legal advice for your specific situation
- Account recovery (we do not require accounts for core tools)
- Guarantees on calculator outputs for complex cases (self-employment, multi-regional tax, etc.)
Budget Planner HQ does not provide personalized financial advice by email. For individual guidance, consult a licensed professional. See our Financial Disclaimer.

- I found a typo in a guide. Subject: Correction with URL and suggested fix. Thank you, these reports help everyone.
- Will you add a tool for X? Subject: Tool feedback or Guide idea. Describe the decision the tool should answer in one sentence.
